WorldDAB has published a set of case studies to show the advances taking place in the move toward DAB in cars.
According to the organization, considerable progress is being made across Europe to encourage the implementation of in-car DAB+. These case studies are designed to illustrate how digital radio and automotive industries are working together in this endeavor.
“Across Europe, digital radio organizations coordinating the rollout of DAB+ are working closely with the automotive sector to ensure all new cars come with digital radio,” said Rosie Smith, project manager, Automotive, WorldDAB.

“Education is also needed at dealership level, to ensure drivers are fully aware of the benefits digital radio offers and, for some makes and models, digital radio is an option available to them. They are also working with dealerships and retailers to raise consumer awareness of in-car aftermarket adapters.”

The first set of case studies showcase how Germany, the Netherlands and Norway are educating dealerships, retailers and garages about digital radio in their market to ensure the correct information reaches drivers.
