Super Hi-Fi Releases VoiceIQ 2.0

It says FM broadcasters are among those that can benefit most

Super Hi-Fi had released an improved version of its AI-based mastering and post-production technology, with an eye on FM radio workflows.

“With VoiceIQ 2.0, voice talent can now deliver superior quality voice tracks using nothing more than a simple USB microphone and a laptop from literally anywhere,” the company said, with no studio equipment or outboard gear needed.

VoiceIQ is an automated mastering tool for voice tracks; Super Hi-Fi said it is used by large-scale music services to “enhance their voice-focused listening experiences.”

“Now, with VoiceIQ 2.0, FM broadcasters can take advantage of this power and control, with enhancements designed from the ground-up for FM radio voice tracks,” it said.

New capabilities include a Noise Eraser feature, with which unnecessary noise is automatically removed from the background of voice track recordings. The company said that might include “vacuum cleaners; fans and air-conditioning; overhead airplanes; dogs barking; babies crying; even farm animals.”

The tool also includes new FM Voice Profiles to enhance voice tracks on FM broadcasts, including new EQ curves and dynamic variable compression matching.

Super Hi-Fi said VoiceIQ 2.0 works up to twice as quickly than the previous generation, and comes integrated into the company’s Voicetrack Fusion workflow tools, “so you can preview the incredible-sounding results in record time.”

The company said this is part of its “ongoing engineering effort to evolve the Super Hi-Fi platform to support full FM-grade broadcasting.”
