Czech Radio Updates Riedel Intercom System

Integration was performed by Smart Informatics

From our Who’s Buying What page: Riedel Communications said Czech Radio, public radio broadcaster of the Czech Republic, upgraded its Riedel Artist intercom infrastructure as part of a system expansion. Smart Informatics provided the system integration and support.

The broadcaster deployed an Artist wired intercom system in 2009 and has scaled up the system incrementally over time, Riedel said in its announcement. The infrastructure now consists of a new Artist-1024 frame, three Artist-64 matrices, approximately 120 intercom panels and a new Bolero wireless intercom system.

Czech Radio operates 10 nationwide and 14 regional stations. Some regional studios are connected via VoIP, while others are connected via the SmartPanels’ Syntonous Mode, which connects panels in wide-area networks.

Karel Zyka is CTO of Czech Radio.
