American Recorder Technologies is now shipping its new XLR Screw Terminal Adapters.
The recording, audio and music accessories manufacturer said the three-pin XLR adapters “allow integrators, audio/broadcast engineers and installers to quickly and easily connect balanced XLR connections without having to break out the soldering equipment.”
In its press release, American Recorder said the adapters are identical to a standard solder-type XLR, but with a three-position terminal strip located at the back end of the adapter, allowing direct connections of wires up to 16 AWG. The terminal strip is numbered for connection identification — hot (2), cold (3) and ground (1).
The terminal strip is encased in a heavy duty tapered, molded plastic. All connections are nickel-plated. The XLR Screw Terminal Adapters are available in both male and female formats, with a retail price of $6.99 each.
