Cumulus Media’s 400 radio stations are adopting Quu technology to improve in-car visual branding.
In a joint press release, Quu and Cumulus said the partnership will help advertisers connect with consumers and create a more effective way to reinforce brand identity with listeners.
Cumulus stations will use Quu’s content management system, 24/7 dashboard display monitor, Xperi’s Rapid technology and DTS AutoStage “to enhance in-car listening experiences and help drive ratings and revenue,” according to the release.
Some markets will also offer Quu’s Content Partnership sponsorship, in which advertisers’ visual messages appear for 30 seconds while songs or other content plays, without interrupting that audio.

“Visual content solutions generate sustainable revenue growth and significantly enhance in-car engagement, where listeners spend the most time with our stations,” said Dave Milner, Cumulus’ president of operations, in the release. “This expansion underscores Cumulus’ commitment to delivering premium content and sales experiences that meet the evolving needs of our audience and clients.”
Quu provides software and services that allow stations to publish dynamic visual programming and sales messages on vehicle dashboards. Ad content can be synched to appear as a client’s audio ad plays.
