At the NAB Show, Telos Alliance will demonstrate a new product in its family of AoIP mixing consoles, called the Axia Altus_SE.
The company says it offers the benefits of its Axia Altus virtual mixing consoles “in a form factor that prioritizes simple, straightforward deployment and installation.” It said customers like the features of virtual Axia Altus but some find the software deployment to be a barrier. This version is intended to provide the benefits of a software-based mixer on a dedicated hardware platform.
Like the software Altus, the SE version offers a browser-based mixer for remote events and contributors, supports quick deployment of temporary studios and provides a low-cost option for disaster recovery sites.
“Built on the same compact, fanless hardware as the recently introduced Telos VX Duo broadcast phone system, its small size and silent operation also make it an ideal choice for in-studio use,” Telos stated in its announcement.

A base Altus_SE license includes eight faders and can be expanded to up to 24, in four-fader increments, via buyout-style licenses.
“Customers seeking a simple and hassle-free means of adding WebRTC can subscribe to a pair of SaaS offerings, including a Telos Alliance AWS-hosted Beacon server and STUN and TURN services available directly through Xirsys.”
The SE version will be available in Q2.
