GatesAir is emphasizing three product lines for wireless content delivery at the NAB Show.
The company is talking up its Flexiva GX FM transmitter line, which has a new 3.5 kW model and also added a 2 kW version last fall. The GX family is now available in seven power levels, from 50 watts to 10 kW. The company has also added an enhanced GUI with built-in audio playback and playlist managers for all seven models.
GatesAir has also completed its second-generation Intraplex IP Link family with the new IPL-200n codec, adding a full-duplex, two stereo-channel option. A year ago the company introduced the IPL-100n, a single stereo-channel version. It features network path redundancy through GatesAir’s Dynamic Stream Splicing (DSS) software. It has 10-band audio processing technology and updated audio compression algorithms.
Also new is an Intraplex device for radio using analog audio processors to transport AES-192 and digital MPX signals. “The new MPX Bridge provides a fast and convenient way to digitally transport an FM composite signal across an IP network, and eliminates the need to invest in a new processor to access the benefits of an IP network.”
The device works with second-generation IP Link products, which includes a half-rack codec for remote broadcasting and contribution (IPL-100c) and a Flexiva transmitter module (IPL-100e) for GatesAir Flexiva that removes the need for an external receiving codec.
