Nautel Highlights Transmitter Control at IBC

Also plans an audio player in the VX Series

Nautel will exhibit at IBC; here’s a sampler of its offerings.

The company will highlight its SNMP-based system controller for Nautel transmitters. The SC4 offers real-time status and changeover control for GV, NVLT, NX, VS and VX Series. It is pre-configured for these models and has an HTML5 user interface with access via Ethernet.

Also new is the VS-TC line of main/standby controllers, described as a simple compact solution for customers needing only switching from a main to a backup transmitter.

Nautel also will feature its VX FM transmitter series, available in power levels from 150 W to 6 kW. It says almost 1,000 units have shipped since launch last year.

It has announced plans to incorporate audio player and playlist functionality into the VX Series. “With the audio player functionality, users will be able to upload content locally or remotely via an IP connection to make a playlist; no USB, addition cards, or site visits are necessary.”

The built-in audio player can use the file playlist as an audio source, for instance as an audio loss backup. This capability will be available later this year.

Also at IBC Nautel will show technologies for digital radio broadcasting and audio distribution, including DAB+ and DRM multiplexers, content servers/modulators, DRM and HD Radio-capable transmitters, and FM synchronizing options.

The company will hold a reception at its stand on Sunday afternoon. Nautel also has published a booth guide for this show.
