U.K.-based transmitter manufacturer Aqua Broadcast intends to take a higher profile in the United States.
The company, which is based in Epsom near London, has named SCMS Inc. in North Carolina as its sole authorized dealer and parts facility in the U.S. It also received Part 73 certification for its Cobalt FM transmitter range, which serves power levels from 10 Watts to 1 kW, and the products have been approved by ISED Canada.
Aqua’s Business Development Manager Brendan Lofty and SCMS President Bob Cauthen announced the partnership. Cauthen said Aqua Broadcast is providing a trade-in program of any model FM transmitter in any condition for power levels up to 1 kW.
Lofty was quoted in the announcement, “SCMS Inc.’s decades of experience and dedication make them the ideal choice to represent and maximize the Aqua Broadcast brand in the United States.” He said the collaboration also ensures that broadcasters have access to readily available spare parts and fast service turnaround.
Aqua Broadcast also makes audio processors. It will exhibit at next month’s IBC Show.
