The AES Show will be held in Long Beach, Calif., next year.
The show was held exclusively in New York from 2017 to 2019. There was no in-person show in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it was back to in-person in New York in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Prior to 2017, the AES Show alternated between the west and east coasts. The last show held in the Golden State was in Los Angeles in 2016.
This year’s event recently concluded at the Javits Center in New York this week, which was collocated with the NAB Show New York.

A spokesperson for AES confirmed to Radio World that the decision has been made to hold the show in Long Beach in 2025. They said more details will be provided soon.
One exhibitor told Radio World on Thursday that they welcomed the change, citing the high cost of hotels, dining and booth services in New York City.
One potential impact is that attendees to the NAB Show New York next year will probably have fewer booths to visit. Although the two conventions have remained separate, they operated under an agreement that allowed attendees to either event to walk the exhibit floors of both.
The Audio Engineering Society hosted its first convention in 1949, marking the start of the AES Show. Formerly called the “Audio Fair,” the inaugural event was held at the Hotel New Yorker in NYC.
