Quu Inc. has created a division to promote its in-dash messaging technology to national advertisers.
The Quu Visual Network or QuuVN will be led by Sam Rogers, reporting to CEO Steve Newberry.
“Launching in collaboration with Quu’s clients, QuuVN’s mission is to grow demand for visual advertising in local markets,” the company announced.
“Through the network’s broad reach, major brands can engage listeners with Quu’s patented Content Partnership and other sponsorships that deliver non-intrusive, high-impact sales messages on dashboard screens.”
Rogers has had various management and sales roles at Audacy, CBS Radio, Radio One and Cumulus Media. Quu cited his “deep relationships with top U.S. brands, and skill in scaling networks.”
Rogers was quoted in the announcement calling visual advertising an untapped revenue stream for radio stations.
Quu’s technology lets stations schedule and publish dynamic programming and sales messages on screens including text, logos and images engage listeners and generate immediate incremental revenue.
