MRC Grants Continued Accreditation to Media Monitors

Rating Council gives thumbs up to the company’s radio and TV spot services

Media Monitors said it has secured continued accreditation from the Media Rating Council.

Specifically MRC has continued its accreditation for Media Monitors’ radio and TV spot services reporting pre-recorded advertising spots of at least 15 seconds in length.

The announcement was made by Philippe Generali, president and CEO of Media Monitors, and George W. Ivie, MRC executive director and CEO.

The Media Rating Council is a non-profit association that includes radio, television, print and internet companies, as well as advertisers, ad agencies and trade associations. Its goal is “to ensure measurement services that are valid, reliable, and effective.”

Participating measurement companies must disclose to their customers the methodological aspects of their service; comply with the MRC Minimum Standards for Media Rating Research and other industry measurement guidelines; and submit to audits to “authenticate and illuminate their procedures.”

Media Monitors, part of iHeartMedia, is a network and local monitoring company that provides media and advertising clients with intelligence on radio, television, cable, print and display internet. “Clients utilize this information to enhance profitability and accountability, leveraging it as a potent asset for gaining an edge in competitive advertising environments,” it states.
