From our People News page: Futuri Media has named Marc Jaromin as director of public safety platforms.
“Jaromin will spearhead the expansion of BEACON with the goal of revolutionizing how emergency information is delivered to the public,” it said in the announcement.
As we have reported, the Broadcast Emergency Alerts and Communications Operations Network is a system to manage and distribute emergency alerts and information from government sources across multiple platforms. It was developed by Futuri, the University of Florida and the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

“Jaromin brings a wealth of experience having served as vice president and general manager of major New York news affiliates and successfully founded and operated multiple television stations across the U.S.,” Futuri stated.
He has worked for media companies including Scripps, Nexstar and Sinclair and has been involved with the NAB Leadership Foundation’s Broadcast Leadership Training Program.
