When stations go digital, they need digital support gear.
One of the companies that has positioned itself to benefit from that fact is Audemat-Aztec. The supplier says Clear Channel has ordered 68 of its Goldeneagle HD modulation monitors – 49 FM and 14 AM. The units have been customized for the broadcaster, the manufacturer said.
The contract price was not disclosed. The retail value of the order would be approximately $553,000.
The units have an added spectrum analyzer display; also cited by the company as attractions were frequency agility and the ability to monitor multiple audio streams.
