College Broadcasters, Inc., has announced the finalists for the 2023 CBI National Student Production Awards.
The awards honor the work of university radio and television outlets and include more than 20 categories for which college students can submit their work. Examples of the available categories include best promo, best hard news reporting, best DJ and best podcast — to name a few — in addition to more general categories such as station imaging, website design and social media presence.
Up to four finalists were chosen in each of the categories — split up into audio and video subdivisions — out of 1,000 submissions, said CBI.
Winners and finalists will be honored at an awards presentation during the annual National Student Electronic Media Convention, which will be held Oct. 18–21 in Orlando, Fla.

According to its website, CBI’s mission is to serve students and advisers of student media through community events, programs and learning and networking opportunities. The organization currently represents more than 200 active radio and television member stations.
