Brendan Carr closed out his first week as FCC chairman by coming to decisions on four more leadership positions within the commission.
“I look forward to working with them as we advance the commission’s agenda,” Carr said of the appointments in a release.
Tuesday, he named 11 people for his office’s staff, while he filled out acting bureau leadership on Wednesday.
Additional FCC leaders
Ira Keltz was named acting chief engineer in the Office of Engineering and Technology. He has worked with spectrum policy at the FCC since 1994 and most recently was OET’s deputy chief. He also worked within the commission’s former Private Radio Bureau, now known as the Wireless Bureau.
Katie Gorscak will be the acting director in the Office of Media Relations. She most recently held the senior communications advisor role in the same office and has been with the commission since 2014.
Catherine Matraves was named the acting chief of the Office of Economics and Analytics. She had most recently been the office’s deputy chief for economics.
Tom Sullivan is now the acting chief of the Office of International Affairs. He has been with the FCC since 1991 and had several leadership roles, including OIA’s deputy chief.
