Two members of the Digital Radio Mondiale consortium have completed the development of a support module that is compatible with multiple digital radio standards.
The model from RF2Digital, based in South Korea, and Elements Innovation, based in Hong Kong, is available in two configurations: One that supports DRM, DAB, FM and AM and another that supports DRM, Chinese Digital Radio (CDR), FM and AM.

According to a DRM consortium release, the module can be deployed in consumer electronic products, such as in-vehicle infotainment systems, home radios and other portable audio devices.

The module is based on automotive-grade components. It supports both analog and digital audio outputs as well as DRM Band III, which is being considered in Indonesia, China and South Africa, according to the release.
The two member companies indicated they will continue to collaborate on solutions that support the advancement of next-generation radio technology.
