Elle,
Thanks for the info, especially today’s article on the role radio broadcasting is having regarding Helene.
It may be a bit outside the scope of RW, but I was wondering what impact amateur radio is having in getting health and welfare messages out of affected areas where no power or cell service exists?
While Amateur Radio isn’t a broadcast service, stations are FCC licensed, in part, to serve in the public interest, especially in emergencies. How well are operators doing in that role, either those in affected areas or responders being sent to the high impact locations?
Maybe local EOCs or “ham” clubs can respond.
Thanks again!
