TuneIn and Cumulus Expand Their Relationship

Cumulus hopes to improve monetization of digital audio ad inventory

TuneIn and Cumulus Media have renewed and expanded their content agreement.

They’ve added a non-exclusive sales and supply partnership “to optimize digital audio advertising monetization for Cumulus’ diverse radio stations.”

Audio streams of Cumulus stations and podcasts are available through TuneIn.Cumulus has 400 radio stations in 84 markets; it also syndicates content to 9,800 stations through Westwood One, and it operates the Cumulus Podcast Network. 

Cumulus Chief Content Officer Brian Philips said in the announcement, “TuneIn naturally aligns with our strategy to expand our digital footprint and extend the reach of our diverse programming to a global audience.”
