Clear Channel Radio this week announced the appointment of Brian Lakamp to the position of president of Clear Channel Digital.

It is a new position that will report to Clear Channel Radio President and CEO John Hogan.

Lakamp previously was executive vice president of digital media.

Clear Channel Digital is responsible for developing tools and for Clear Channel’s radio, media and entertainment properties, including the iHeartRadio platform.

In other Clear Channel Digital news, Pablo Calamera was named chief technology officer.

Calamera joined Clear Channel as part of its Thumbplay acquisition. Lakamp said, “He will be instrumental in ensuring that our company continues to invest in and develop innovative technology for the long term.”
