Cumulus Media’s Michael Baisden and his weekday afternoon show will be celebrating its ninth anniversary at the famed Apollo Theatre in New York City, July 14.

But beyond celebrating the success of the show, Baisden plans to work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and push the concept of mentoring. It is one that Baisden has been involved with for several years. His show and his Michael Baisden Foundation have donated air time, social media work and over $110,000 in the past.

A release explains: “As we celebrate the 9th anniversary of the Michael Baisden Show, we will recognize our Mentoring Brothers on stage. We will not lose sight of the reality that our kids need us and that through our time and treasure, we can provide long-term, staff-supported mentoring to help them beat the odds.”

A list of those planning to be on hand for the show includes: Eric Roberson, Conya Doss, Vivian Green, Will Downing, Angie Stone, Johnny Gill, The Legendary Chubb Rock, Tyler Craig, George Willborn, LD and Karma II Band and Vy Higginsen’s Gospel for Teens Youth Choir. A studio audience will also be in attendance.
